Our recently completed office is ready for your visit in the Friendly-Holden building. Near the Tanger Bicentennial Garden and Friendly Shopping Center, access is easy from Holden Road, Friendly Avenue or nearby Wendover Avenue. Calming spaces and a kid-friendly atmosphere combine to help keep your children relaxed and engaged, while allowing us to complete a state-of-the-art examination. M. Grace Patel, MD
Pediatric Ophthalmologist
Dr. Grace Patel moved to Greensboro in January of 2015 to serve as a pediatric ophthalmologist for the community.
Her medical school, post-doctoral research and residency were completed at the University of Kentucky. She then served as the fellow in pediatric ophthalmology at St. Louis Children's Hospital through Washington Univ. in St. Louis/Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She has clinical and surgical experience with a broad spectrum of childhood eye disorders, most commonly strabismus and amblyopia. She has a particular interest in treating childhood cataracts and retinopathy of prematurity.
Dr. Patel is married with two sons and a daughter, all under the age of seven. Her favorite thing is spending time with her husband and kids, in the backyard or with friends. In her (rare) spare time, she might be found on the tennis courts, reading a book or practicing piano.
